Erosion, slowly

Erosion, slowly

Most of my forms start on walks along the coast near Gandía, looking at what water and wind do to stone over a very long time.

I try to work the same way: no moulds, no fixed plan for the surface. I add material, take it away, wait and look again. The ridges come from the trowel, the hollows from patience.

The palette stays close to what I see there: stone, ash, sand. I’d rather a piece speak through texture and shadow than through colour.
